maia siegel - editor in chief

Maia Siegel is a senior Creative Writing major at Interlochen Arts Academy. She is from Roanoke, Virginia. Her poetry is forthcoming or published in The Southern Poetry Anthology from Texas Review Press, The Bennington Review, Poetry London, Saranac Review, and elsewhere. Her writing has been recognized by institutions such as The Poetry Society, The YoungArts Foundation, and The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. She will attend Yale University this fall.

bianca layog - editor in chief

Bianca Layog is a senior Creative Writing major at Interlochen Arts Academy. She is from Manila, Philippines. She currently has over 100 Spotify playlists. She will attend King's College London in London, UK this fall.

lane devers - editor in chief

Lane Devers is a senior Creative Writing major at Interlochen Arts Academy.  He is from Carbondale, Colorado. He was selected in 2019 as a finalist in Creative Nonfiction by the YoungArts Foundation and placed second in the Princeton University Leonard L. Milberg poetry prize in 2020.  

regina cassese - lead poetry editor

Regina Cassese is a senior Creative Writing major at Interlochen Arts Academy.  She is a queer writer from Caledonia, Michigan. Regina has been awarded multiple regional keys from the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, an Honorable Mention in Michigan State University’s Richard Benvenuto High School Poetry Competition, an Honorable Mention for creative nonfiction in the Storytellers of Tomorrow Contest at Ringling College. In the fall, Regina will be attending Bard College as a Creative Writing major. She eats peanut butter when she’s sad, falls asleep wherever she goes, and stress bakes during exam season. Regina hopes to become a poetry professor one day and to have the beginnings of her own home in the middle of a snowy forest and maybe a dog. Or two.

nazani cassidy - poetry editor

Nazani (Zani) Mariam Cassidy (they/she) is a senior Creative Writing major at Interlochen Arts Academy.  She is from Santa Barbara, California. In 2021, she won an honorable mention for her work in spoken word from the National YoungArts Foundation. Their work has been published in The Athena Review, Austin Youth Poets Anthology, and HerWords Literary Magazine. Zani has been the host of two distinguishable radio shows in both California and Michigan, all pertaining to contemporary classical music. Next year, she will be attending a three-year bachelors program in Journalism, from Anglo-American University in Prague, Czech Republic. During classes, she is usually playing Sudoku.

alix skykes - poetry editor

Alix Sykes is a sophomore Creative Writing major at Interlochen Arts Academy. They are from Battle Creek, Michigan. They have won a total of one gold medal, seven gold keys, and twelve silver keys in the Scholastic Arts & Writing Awards. They have also received honorable mentions in Michigan State University's Richard Benvenuto High School Poetry Competition and in the F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald Museum’s annual Literary Contest. They have been published in Scribere, a small online teen literary magazine. When not writing, Alix can either be found sitting on the stage at local open mics or lying in the grass at their family's homestead.

ella harrigan - lead fiction editor

Ella Harrigan is a senior Creative Writing major at Interlochen Arts Academy.  She is from Charlottesville, Virginia. She is the winner of a Silver Medal with distinction for a writing portfolio, an American Voices award, and a Gold Medal in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards; she also received the Claudia Ann Seaman Award for nonfiction. Her work has appeared in Polyphony Lit. She will attend Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania this fall.

grace schlett - fiction editor

Grace Schlett is a junior Creative Writing major at Interlochen Arts Academy.  She is from Grand Rapids,  Michigan. Grace has received a poetry award from the Kent District Library Write Michigan Teen Poetry Contest. Usually, you can find her listening or playing music, hanging out with friends, or adventuring.

sara Carmichael - lead nonfiction editor

Sara Carmichael is a senior Creative Writing major at Interlochen Arts Academy. She is from Montclair, New Jersey. She has been recognized by the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, Columbia College Chicago's Young Authors Writing Competition, and the Kenyon Review Writing Awards, among others. Her work is forthcoming in The Albion Review and elsewhere. Sara will be attending Kenyon College this fall.

sabine wilson-patrick - nonfiction editor

Sabine Wilson-Patrick is a senior Creative Writing major at Interlochen Arts Academy. She is from St. George, Barbados. Sabine has been writing for a majority of her life and is the recipient of several Regional Scholastic Art & Writing Awards in addition to NIFCA (Barbados National Cultural Foundation) poetry prizes and an Honourable Mention in Michigan State University’s Richard Benvenuto High School Poetry Competition. She is going to Bennington College this fall to study Creative Writing.

Chrisli Markram is a senior Creative Writing major at Interlochen Arts Academy. She is from Bloemfontein, South Africa. She has recently been published in Booth literary magazine. Chrisli will attend university in South Africa next year.

Neva Ensminger-Holland is a junior Creative Writing major at Interlochen Arts Academy. She is from Mequon, Wisconsin. She was a finalist in Ringling College of Art and Design's Storytellers of Tomorrow contest and has been recognized by the Scholastic Arts & Writing Awards.

sophia bassett - visual arts editor

Sophia Bassett is a first-year senior visual arts major at Interlochen Arts Academy from Spring  Lake, Michigan. She uses her mundane childhood memories to create patterns, fashion pieces, prints, and more to create a sense of comfort. She received National Silver and Gold medals in the 2021 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Her ceramic dress also received a Faculty Recognition award in the 2021 Interlochen Visual Arts Juried Show.
